In 2024, David played a vital role in strengthening the local community through his work as a Community Producer, contributing time, creativity, and leadership to a series of inspiring community-led projects. His involvement focused on empowering some of the most vulnerable members of society, particularly disabled people and the elderly, ensuring they felt included, supported, and celebrated.
At the heart of the programme was an ambitious goal: to design and deliver 10 different mini community events, each carefully tailored to meet the needs, interests, and accessibility requirements of participants. These events were created to be welcoming, inclusive, and meaningful—providing safe spaces for connection, creativity, and wellbeing.
David worked closely with an incredible group of community members, including Lisa, Pete, Jay, Valerie, and many others who shared the same passion for positive social impact. Together, they collaborated on planning, organising, and delivering events that ranged from social gatherings to creative and wellbeing-focused activities. Each team member brought unique skills and perspectives, making the programme truly community-driven.

The programme was widely regarded as a great success, with strong attendance, positive feedback from participants, and clear evidence of increased confidence, social connection, and wellbeing among those who took part.
